Coed Sportsperson

Christian Filter '20

Bowdoin College

Christian Filter of Stevensville, MD is the winner of the NEISA Co-ed sportsperson of the year award.  Filter was a team captain and primarily sailed A-division for the Polar Bears and competed in the most competitive regattas in NEISA and the ICSA.  

 

“Christian is a highly competitive individual, but he does not let his competitiveness get the best of him; I have observed that in the most stressful of times, Christian is able to rise above his own self interest to be a good teammate and great competitor. “, said Bowdoin Head Coach, Frank Pizzo.

Women's Sportsperson

Allison Cahn '20

Boston University

Allison Cahn of Chicago, IL is the winner of the NEISA Women’s sportsperson of the year award. Cahn competed as a women’s A and B-division skipper at NEISA’s most competitive events all season long.  

 

“Allie was a great teammate during her four years sailing for BUDS.  She was always putting the interests of the team ahead of her own. She was well respected by her teammates and fellow competitors for the way she competed and approached the game.”, said Boston University Head Coach, Chris Lash.
